Heart Beat (Episode 1) by Anisha

Third person’s pov

Munching popcorns, a group of boys are watching the scene intensely, why won’t they, after all the most steamy scene of Ranbir and Aishwariya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (It’s a Bollywood Movie) has been going on in the theater. Some of their mouths are wide open; some are munching constantly and sweating profusely; some are doing dubsteps- pulling out the popcorn from the bucket and slowly lifting their hand up, then placing it on their mouth as if it is a delicacy; and yes another one who’s busy admiring the girl sitting next to him.

Yes! Yes! He’s the one..

Sanskar has been sitting on those back seats of the theatre and is quite busy. Let’s see what is he busy in.. 😉

“Wow! Tina, so beautiful. You’re gorgeous and over that these nail paints. It’s increasing your beauty!!..”

“Really?” she gets excited “I know you will like it. Only for you” she blushes.

“What like? I love it, baby” he kisses her knuckles and she blushes more.

“These soft hands oh! Feel like touching them every now and then” he keeps on praising her whereas a pair of eyes witness it and burns in jealousy.

“And these soft lips..” he was about to touch her lips with his thumb when suddenly Kaira got up and threw the entire popcorn bucket on Sanskar.

“Ki…” he roars. She stomps her foot and leaves. Kavya, her friend follows her.

“Ki, you know him. He has been like that from childhood. It’s you who says we should keep on ‘a little faith’. What happened now?” Kavya asks, turning her around.

“Kavya, it’s not always about faith. Sometimes it’s also about patience and I don’t have that much patience” she cries “I have been waiting for him since six years. Six long years, damn it! And look at him… He’s busy with every other girl”

“Ki” Kavya hugs and strokes her hair “Come on yaar! You know he won’t change and won’t come to console you so, stop crying” she wipes her tears “And smile like a good girl”

Kaira smiles faintly “I know”

“Nah! You know nothing” Sanskar pops in between “You’re bad mouthing about me?” Sanky glares Kavya.

“No.. No why ..would I? I… Mean…. I…” Kavya fumbles and panics.

“She did nothing. She has been saying what’s true. Don’t bother her” Kaira walks out.

“But that isn’t true!” he remarks.

“Everything is true. Whatever she said! It’s always about you” she complains.

“If it’s always about me then it’s always about you too” she doesn’t respond and he snakes his arms around her shoulder “You’re the most important person in my life, my best friend and will always be!!.. Darling 😉”

Kaira widened her eyes “Don’t you think you’re flirting?”

“Even if I’m, I’m doing with my buddy” he winks.

“Huh?” she moves out to the parking lot.

“Yaar! Come on will go to Juhu beach”

“Not interested”

“Come no!”

“I said I’m not interested” he scoops her in his arms “Sanky you moron! Put me down”

Sanskar didn’t put her down instead they both drove to Juhu. Kaira Bose, the only daughter of the Bose family. She has been brought up by Sujata as her mother died after she gave birth to Kaira. Sujata and Kaira’s mother, Anjali were best friends. Sujata had promised Anjali to bring Kaira as her daughter-in-law to the house. Kaira was only 16 when she came to know about the alliance and since then she had loved him selflessly.

She knows each and everything about Sanskar, what he wears, what he does, what’s he doing now. She is like his personal secretary who knows everything about him. But she too expects love in return, who’s not ready to give. She knows he hates it, she knows he doesn’t have any feelings, she knows he’s too practical, she knows he doesn’t want it but she can’t stop herself! After all this is heart! Sometimes your heart can’t afford to be just friends.

Kaira’s pov

There’s always going to be that one guy that no matter the distance between you two, no matter how long you go without talking; you’ll never stop loving him. Even though he never loved me I love him, I want him! It feels like I have acid rain in my brain, and it’s killing the flowers of my heart.

It’s hard to wait around for something that you know might never happen. but it’s even harder to give up when you know it’s everything you want. That’s why I have awaited, I’m still only for him, waiting and asking for him to absorb me in his warmth. But he’s not with me!!..

Walking along the shore with him felt as if I am complete. Inhaling the fresh air and spreading my arms to engross the moment in one single hug, I sighed. Sometimes silence speaks the most!!..

We sat down on the sand and looked onto the heating sun.

“Why do I feel so far away from you even though you are sitting right next to me?” I looked at him.

“Because you’re making the rift” he says.

“Me? No. I never made that rift” I disagreed.

“It’s you Kaira. When you know there is nothing between us and nothing can happen, then why are you trying?”

“Because I feel happy to be around you. I feel like…”

“Kaira we feel to happy around friends, family and people close to us. Does that mean we will never leave them? Does that mean we will always be with them? Sometimes they might leave us or we might leave them. No one knows our future. It’s unpredictable!”

The silence played it’s tunes again. We kept silent and only sound was the melodious cuckoo singing. The tides brushed my muddy feet and I smiled. It generated our childhood memories. I smiled and dipped it further, letting my feet burry into the mud. I looked for Sanky who was now smiling. We smiled together and in no time I was pushed into the beach. The water engulfed me into it and my body felt amazing!!..

The hot water squirming and tickling my body, making me dive in. Sanky joined me. After half-an-hour of swimming, finally we were out, laughing and giggling. It felt so amazing! It’s been years since we did this and it felt like I had my whole life with him. I smiled at my thoughts.
Drying ourselves, when I demanded for an ice-cream, he went to the vendor to get it.

Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny and a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over. I’ll wait for him, all my life!!..

“When you walked away, you took my heart with you. All you left are pain and tears”

Please guys comment and tell me how’s it. I want to know. If it’s boring do tell I’ll discontinue.

Thank You.
